As a lifelong musician and aspiring neuroscience researcher, I am interested in the mechanisms of neuroplasticity and the auditory aspects of learning and memory. Currently, I am conducting behavioral experiments with rats to understand at a molecular level how HDAC3 inhibition enhances auditory memories acquired via learning a two-tone frequency discrimination task.
